I always knew I wanted to be an artist, ever since I picked up my first,
fabulous periwinkle blue crayola.
I went to school in the most fabulous city in the world, New York,
studying illustration at Parsons School of Design where I met most of my absolutely fabulous friends, and learned alot about
fashion, food and fun. A stint at Parsons in Paris (doesn’t get anymore fabulous than that) was the start of my wanderlust, and I have travelled from
Lake Como to Playa del Carmen, Mykonos to Lugano, London to Miami, and then some. I’ve been told my travel has influenced
my work and that it has a french flair...c’est absolutely positively très magnifique! My
fabulous professional life started in New York City as a production artist working on the Swissair account, continuing on as a designer
for Metropolitan Home and ending as an art director for an Absolut vodka campaign, having an absolutely fabulous time along
the way.
When I started my fabulous career in illustration, I made the big move to the country in Connecticut, looked out on the absolutely
fabulous flowers, trees and birds, and learned alot about peace, quiet and absolute boredom. As luck would have it, due to the boredom, I became an obsessive workaholic and built a fabulous client
list... Mattel, Sutter Home, American Express, Sara Lee, Conair, Visa, Sprint, New York Times, Vanity Fair, Washington
Post, Seventeen, Better Homes & Gardens, Slate, Daiy News, Chicago Tribune, Forbes... and the list continues
to grow. I still had some time on my hands so together with my fabulous husband Peter, we designed our fabulous
house and fabfabfabulous studio, and learned alot about faucets, hinges and wood floors along with the thrill
of creating on a very big scale. Even though we love minimalism, we did have to fill the house with something,
so we chose our five fabulous furry friends, 3 dogs and 2 cats, all rescues, rejects and
mutts. Once the house was finished I was onto my next fabulous career in licensing and I am now very busy working with my fabulous designer Lydia, on a wide variety of products
for my oh so fabulous clients including Deluxe Financial Services, Hallmark cards, Papyrus... the list
goes on and on and on. My fabulous work can be seen in Target on shower curtains and gift bags, in Europe on notebooks
and wrapping paper, in Asia on mousepads, worldwide on stationery and paper products, and on a much anticipated line of robin
zingone™ greeting cards, which is about to debut stateside. And next year, the absolutely fabulous zingone riveira
jewelry line will be introduced. My path has been a winding one and there will always be a new pantone
color to use, a new watercolor paper to try, and a new chapter to write, but when you see a
fabulous periwinkle blue crayola, you will absolutely have to remember my absolutely fabulous life.
