Many days I have spent writing blog posts, but just like my art...I always wanted it to be better. Maybe I could use a better photo or change the subject matter, maybe I could sound smarter or alter the color of the image or write a better post, so...I have decided to expound on what I know best...the art around me.
These papers were designed while I was thinking of the fashion of my youth. Lots of bold preppy florals mixed with geometrics. Pink and orange have been a fave of mine since Skipper's fashion pink knit sweater and orange capris.
This pattern from the Flowerchild collection was a hit. Before everybody was using gray and gray and gray, I thought it might be fun to mix some warm grays and black with hot pink and chartreuse. Winner. We need to bring back this mix in the studio since the world is still loving gray and gray and gray.
The name tag was designed as the cherry on top of the sundae...and of course I had to add that pop of color to this gentle palette of gray & blush.
Voila. A present to myself...my first new blog post and here I present to you, the Flowerchild collection in all its glory. Any thoughts?
