Never much of a follower, the sweet pastels of Easter held no interest for me this year. Instead, I chose to pick up a paintbrush with black paint and have some graphic fun with eggshells. Some mistakes were made with my freehand madness, but the mistakes usually loosen me up. The egg with oversized polka dots was not supposed to have small dots in the white space...that is of course before I smeared a black fingerprint, so voila, mini dot background. The all black egg (which I really love) was in response to putting said egg back into egg crate before fully dried....so, the striped egg became all black to cover the drips, smears and stuck on cardboard from the crate. Oops. As I continued my pastel Easter revolt I decided to design some new napkins in black, white & gray.
The black & white napkin needed help, so I cut some logo ribbon, added a metal washer, plopped it on a white plate and made a fashion statement.
Next I needed some pops of color. My vintage chartreuse with some chartreuse blooms added just the pizazz I craved.
Hope you had a bright and happy easter too!
